Jane Austen Writing at Her Desk – 3”x 5” Vinyl Sticker
from $3.50
“If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more” – Jane Austen, Knightley to Emma
From 1809 until her final months in 1817, Jane Austen lived in Chawton Village near Alton with her mother; her sister, Cassandra; and their friend Martha Lloyd. It was there, at her small writing desk, that she wrote some of the greatest works in literary history.
This watercolor scene is based on one of my own photos from the Jane Austen House Museum in Alton, England. The placement of the window, fireplace, Jane’s actual table, and clock are all from my own experience at this beautiful, must-see Austenite abode. I used various reference images from different Jane Austen portraits to capture her torso and bonneted curls. Here she is writing, in the first floor sitting room whilst people in the country village of Chawton pass by her window. You can find this in art print form in the Jane Austen section of my shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/KathrynHoleman?ref=seller-platform-mcnav§ion_id=35064278
3” x 5” with rounded corners
Vinyl stickers coated with a special laminate that protects them from exposure to wind, rain and sunlight. They are easily removed from devices with rubbing alcohol. The artwork is dishwasher safe, but the adhesive is not (the heat dry setting will remove it from the surface of whatever you are washing).
Ships from US. These are mailed affordably at a 1st class letter postage rate and tracked through the USPS. Buyers outside of the US may choose untracked shipping at the rate of a global postage stamp or upgrade to a tracked package rate. Buyers outside of the US, if you are buying multiple (non-sticker) items from my shop, your order will automatically upgrade to a tracked package rate.
