Hi, I’m Kathryn! I am a freelance graphic designer and book illustrator based in Wilmington, NC. After studying illustration at Ohio Wesleyan University and graduating in 2001, I started my career in publishing at Welcome Books in NYC, followed by Penguin Random House. At PRH I was a print production coordinator and book designer. In 2007 I moved to Philadelphia where I was a graphic design manager at University City District. While I love graphic design and working with typography and print layout, I also adore drawing and painting!

In 2015 my first coloring book with Rustic Wedding Chic was published with Little, Brown and Company and in 2018 I teamed up with Fodor’s Travel to illustrate two city guides. My books include Colouring History: The Tudors, Ghost the Christmas Stag, and 'Twas the Night Before Tudor Christmas. You can find these and more on Amazon. My recent illustration clients include Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts and Tudor Places Magazine. I sell my art in person at markets including NC Azalea Street Festival, Wilmington Riverfest, and the Eastern NC Renaissance Faire (pictured in my Ren Faire costume).

I’m originally from Connecticut and have found my home in various cities along the east coast of the US. I love to travel, especially to my spirit country of the United Kingdom.
